Maya Angelou famously said, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.”
What does that mean to you?
Why did Maya Angelou use the word “shows” — and more interestingly, “the first time”?
😎 I’ll explain!
People may tell you they’re a woman, but if you cross reference your ears to your eyes you can understand the duplicity.
But in this day & age of #FogOfWar, seeing is nearly impossible❗️
Material Science advancement has made visual manipulation as easy as Photoshop.
Digital content is inherently untrustworthy because pixels and bits can be easily exploited to show anything.
Fake News and Deep Fake videos are prime example.
People believe, and yet they don’t really-really believe.
This is why Maya Angelou said “the first time.”
Because it’s true: “You can’t cheat an Honest Man.”
If you’re honest, then no fakery can fool you.
But how does this relate to “1st time”?
The Honorable Louis Farrakhan, Elijah Muhammad and My Spiritual Master Srila Prabhupada have all said that purity is the force.
✊🏿If you put a clean glass next to a dirty one, there is NO question the first time‼️
So look with your own eyes, but do so the first time❗️
Like a child seeing for the first time.
Purity is seeing.
Then you can factually believe what you see!
